Since the 7th of June, the WACO System has appointed Velogic Ltd to represent the exclusive network of independent freight forwarders in the islands of Mauritius, Madagascar, and Reunion in the Indian Ocean.
Headquartered in Port Louis, Velogic has 32 offices in eight territories and provides a full-range of logistics services across numerous sectors, including fashion, construction, healthcare, and project cargo. Richard Charles, Executive Director, The WACO System said that:
These three countries each represent a key gateway between Africa and Asia; two continents that have seen strong growth in demand for logistics services thanks largely to the increased trade between each other. Velogic offers an extensive service across many sectors and has strong local knowledge of these countries, which will provide our members with new opportunities for business.
Velogic has been in operation for over 40 years and its supply chain services are in air, sea, and road freight, and include Customs clearance, warehousing, and packaging. Denis Hung, Chief Operations Officer, Velogic Ltd believe that:
We believe that The WACO System will provide us with a network of partners which will help us expand our business, and which we will help to grow as well. In Mauritius, we offer regular opportunities to and from the different islands through regular connections, whether they be via air or ocean.
The WACO System is an exclusive network of independent forwarders and holds two events a year facilitating hundreds of face-to-face bilateral meetings for members. The next event is their Extraordinary General Meeting and it takes place from 15th to 17th October 2018 in Manila, the Philippines.
