ENL joins the Rogers Group in celebrating an exceptional milestone: 125 years of innovation, growth, and contributions to Mauritius. Since 1899, Rogers has played a significant role in shaping key sectors such as tourism, logistics, and aviation, leaving a lasting mark on the nation's economic and social fabric.
A Longstanding Partnership
ENL has been closely tied to Rogers' journey since 1971, later acquiring a majority stake in 2000 and becoming its major shareholder (holding 60%) in 2012.
In July 2024, ENL and Rogers deepened their collaboration by unifying their head offices in a common Management Office serving both companies. This move reinforced operational and strategic alignment between the two organisations. In November 2024, the subsequent announcement to explore a merger of holdings underscored the shared trajectory of the two groups, and their ambition to enhance their combined impact in Mauritius.
Honouring Rogers’ Contribution
Rogers’ history reflects the broader story of Mauritius’ development. From pioneering commercial aviation to positioning Mauritius as a global tourism destination, Rogers has continuously broken new ground. Its influence spans diverse sectors, including logistics, real estate, financial services, and sustainable development. Over the years, the company has grown into a diversified group with a presence in 13 territories and 4,800 employees. Its contributions have consistently supported the nation’s progress in infrastructure, trade, and services.
To mark its 125th anniversary, Rogers has launched www.rogersmeaningfulstories.mu, a platform showcasing stories from the people who have shaped its legacy. These narratives highlight individual and collective efforts that have driven the company forward.
A Milestone for Mauritius
Rogers’ 125th anniversary is more than a corporate milestone; it reflects Mauritius’ evolving economic landscape. ENL is proud to have been part of this journey, supporting Rogers’ growth and collaboration.
This celebration is an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the past while looking toward the potential of the future, as both ENL and Rogers continue to evolve alongside Mauritius.
