You are looking for a new opportunity and want to join a dynamic team. SYGECO Ltd is seeking a Handyman to join our Operations Department.

SYGECO Ltd is a key player in managing real estate developments by ENL Property Ltd.

Key Responsibilities: 

• The systems under the team’s responsibility include (but are not limited to):
• Electrical Distribution System (Low Voltage),
• Domestic water supply,
• Fire Fighting and alarm systems,
• Sewerage treatment plant,
• Lifting stations,
• Air Conditioning Units,

• Maintains in serviceable conditions systems by executing daily, weekly and monthly checklists as per recommendations, investigate related issues; conduct tests; resolve problems.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; maintain supplies; perform preventive maintenance; call for repairs.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements; preparing orders for approval, follow approved orders until delivery; complete installation; perform acceptance tests and ensures follow up on payment to contractors.
• Provide feedback to the Site Administrator with respect to examining issues; identify solutions; suggest improved methods and techniques; recommend system improvements.
• Follow up with contractors from start of job to completion.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. irrigation) and other tasks as assigned (painting, minor carpentry etc.).

Qualification, Skills and Experiences:

• National Certificate Level 3 / NTC 3 Building and Maintenance or Electrical with or without NTC 3 Plumbing or equivalent.
• Prior experience as Facility/Maintenance Technician is an advantage.
• Experience in welding, air conditioning installation and maintenance and/or building maintenance will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills both in English and French (oral and written).
• Able to work under pressure, odd hours and meet deadlines.
• Organized, dynamic, self-motivated and good team player.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel).
• Proactive, Dynamic, Focused and Result oriented.
