Position Overview: As a Junior Desktop Support Engineer at Axess, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing prompt and effective technical assistance to our internal users. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving a variety of desktop-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support for desktop-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems and software applications.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including setting up new workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with senior support engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Respond to support tickets and inquiries in a timely and customer-focused manner.
- Document and maintain accurate records of support activities and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong passion for technology and a desire to pursue a career in IT support.
- Basic understanding of desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)

These courses will enable you to target specific technologies and develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in those areas. You will also be required to carry out self-directed learning, which may include reading manuals and guides, studying online help screens and working things out from logical principles.
